Diversity description:

Scopariinae includes 24 genera with 555 species (Nuss et al., 2011). The subfamily is dominated by two genera, Scoparia Haworth and Eudonia Billberg, each with more than 200 species (Nuss, 1999); the remaining genera include one or very few described species. A female moth of Scoparia basistrigalis Knaggs, 1866 from Germany
