Diversity description:

The Epipaschiinae consists of over 500 species that are primarily pantropical in distribution. A total of 785 species have been described.  Fifty-eight genera and 370 species have been described from the Western Hemisphere and fifty-four genera and 385 species from elsewhere in the world.
