Herminiinae

Herminiinae is a subfamily of litter moths in the Erebidae family.[1] Caterpillars of most members of this subfamily feed on dead leaves of plants, while others feed on living leaves. The subfamily was previous treated as a separate family, Herminiidae, or as a subfamily of the Noctuidae family. Phylogenetic analysis has determined that Herminiinae is most closely related to the Aganainae subfamily of Erebidae.[2]
