Herminiinae is a subfamily of litter moths in the Erebidae family. Caterpillars of most members of this subfamily feed on dead leaves of plants, while others feed on living leaves. The subfamily was previous treated as a separate family, Herminiidae, or as a subfamily of the Noctuidae family. Phylogenetic analysis has determined that Herminiinae is most closely related to the Aganainae subfamily of Erebidae.
