Amblyscirtes eos is a resident of the south central United States into Mexico, and is migratory in some parts of its range (Scott 1986). Habitats are southern shortgrass and mixed-grass prairie, plus open juniper-pinyon woodland. There are multiple flights between May 1 - early Sept. in the northern part of their range, late March - Oct. 31 in the southern part of their range (Scott 1986).
