Introduction

A relatively uniform tribe of medium-sized to large and showy hairstreaks. The center of diversity is in temperate Asia, with some members extending to the Nearctic and southeast Asia. Many of the larvae feed on various deciduous hardwood tree species. Many new taxa have been described since the 1950's by Japanese and Chinese researchers.
