Resident in patchy distribution in western North America (Scott 1986). Habitats are UPPER SONORAN ZONE TO CANADIAN ZONE OPEN WOODLAND. Hosts plants are usually shrubs with most known hosts largely restricted to one genus, Ribes (Grossulariaceae). Eggs are laid on or near the host plant singly. Individuals overwinter as eggs. There is one flight each year with the approximate flight time JUL1-AUG31 in the northern part of the range and MAY31-JUL31 in the southern part of their range (Scott 1986).Trusted
