Range Description

The species is endemic to the Sulawesi region, Indonesia. It has also recently been found on the nearby SulaIslands (unpublished data). The extent of occurrence of this species is in excess of 20,000 km2. The area of occupancy (AOO) is smaller for this localised species, however, as around 6,000 km2 of 'good condition' forest remains across Sulawesi (Cannon et al. 2007) the AOO is likely to be greater than 2,000 km2.
