Introduction

The faviines have septa formed of one or more fan systems of simple or compound trabeculae, ranging from isolated spines to imperforate lamellae; synapticulae are absent. Septal margins are regularly dentate and coralla may be solitary or colonial. Dissepiments are well developed.
