Range Description

This species occurs throughout much of the northern hemisphere, from Scandinavia south to the Iberian Peninsula and east through Russia, Kazakhstan, the Caucasus and Turkey in Asia to Japan and the Korean Peninsula. It also occurs in North America from Alaska east to Newfoundland and south to California, parts of the southeastern States and Puerto Rico (The Board of Trustees of the Royal Botanic Garden, Kew 2013).
