"Genus Flabellum Lesson, 1831



Diagnosis. Solitary, cuneiform to compressed turbinate, free. Wall epithecal. Base not thickened by stereome; no roots. Calicular edge jagged or entire. Pali absent. Columella rudimentary or absent.



Type-species: Flabellum pavoninum Lesson, 1831, by subsequent designation (Milne Edwards and Haime, 1850)." Cairns 1982, p. 34.
