Biology

Prefer algae covered and mud bottoms areas of estuaries and coastal reefs (Ref. 9710). Usually occur in pairs. Feed on small benthic invertebrates (Ref. 9710). Oviparous (Ref. 205). Form pairs during breeding (Ref. 205).
