Diagnostic Description
Body depth 4.7-6.2, head length 3.1-3.8 x SL. Caudal peduncle 1.5-2 x longer than high. Head 2.9-3.5 longer than wide. Pointed snout, shorter than post ocular part. Eye diameter 4-7x of head length. Silvery or grayish body with dark lateral band undulating on the sides under the lateral line. Dorsal fin gray or light yellow, caudal fin bright yellow with black oblong spots.
