Generally known from a few localities in the Northeast Atlantic and western Mediterranean. Found also in the Azores and along West Africa to the Cape of Good Hope. Possibly also in the Gulf of Mexico. Mid-Atlantic Ridge: Menez Gwen, Lucky Strike, Mount Saldanha, Menez Hom, and Rainbow. Depth range: 900-2830 m.
