BiologyGenerally live in relatively shallow water along the outer periphery of individual reef complexes. Feeding aggregations of a hundred or more individuals are often seen swimming high above the substratum. Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
