Habitat: reef-associated. Sixline triggerfish. Attains 31 cm. Cheek with 6 slightly diagonal grooves. Yellow to orange band from behind eye to base of dorsal fin. Caudal fin lunate with yellow-orange outer margins. Occurs in deep seaward reefs. One collection outside Micronesia was made at 15 m (Ref. 1602). Taken occasionally by bottomfishing.

Xanthichthys caeruleolineatus is a Triggerfish from the Indo-West Pacific. It occasionally makes its way into the aquarium trade. It grows to a size of 35 cm in length.
