John Game commented on an older version of Distribution:

Pterobryella praenitens is endemic to Lord Howe Island, in the southwest Pacific Ocean. Lord Howe Island is a true Oceanic Island that is politically part of New South Wales, Australia. Pterobryella praenitens is confined to the southern mountainous part of the Island , where it grows in cloud forest on the summit plateau of Mount Gower, and also on Mount Lidgbird and in the Erskine Valley between these two mountains.
