Biology

Adults are found in sheltered seaward coral reefs and lagoons (Ref. 31117), in aggregations within Acropora sp. and Seriatopora histrix (Ref. 41819). Presumably feeding on zooplankton (Ref. 31117). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
