Comprehensive Description

Biology

Adults inhabit protected reef flats of lagoons and inshore reefs. They mainly occur on current-swept reef flats in a few meters depth where it congregates in loose groups of various sizes (Ref. 48636). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
