Range Description

Clarias albopunctatus is known from the Chad and Congo basins, from Niger and Chad to Democratic Republic of Congo. One record has been recorded from Sudan, identified by Teugels, G. in 1986. It is not clear whether this record is from the Congo basin or the Nile system.

Central Africa: This species is known from around Bambesa, Uele River system. It has also been recorded from the Chad basin in Cameroon and the Central African Republic.

Western Africa: This species occurs in Lake Chad and in the upper Benue system. Full distribution can't be mapped, more information is needed.
