Biology

Occurs in swift, clear streams with sandy or gravelly bottom; also found in large rivers. Burrows into the bottom (Ref. 4832). Enters flooded fields (Ref. 12975). Found in the basin-wide mainstream of the lower Mekong (Ref. 36667).
