Description

Size: large. Plumage: mainly white and brown; wings long. Other details: eyes large and directed foreword with no suborbital ridge; bill strong and sharply hooked with slit-like closable nostrils; legs and feet powerful; outer toe reversible and soles covered with sharp spicules. Feeds almost exclusively on fish.
