Range Description

Segmentina trochoidea is widespread in south and southeast Asia, and is likely present throughout the Ganges/Brahmaputra basins. It is known from India (West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Assam) , Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka (Balapiti), Malaysia, Myanmar (Inle Lake), Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Indonesia (Java and Sumatra) (Subba Rao 1989, Brandt 1974, Gilman et al.1982, Temcharoen et al. 1982, Subba Rao 1989, Pallabi et al. 2006).
