The genus, Denroaspis, is a group of snakes in the Elapidae family. They are commonly called "Mambas". The genus has 4 species including the following:

D. angusticeps (Eastern Green Mamba)
D. jamesoni (Jameson's Mamba)
D. polylepis (Black Mamba)
D. virdis (Western Green Mamba)

They all are venomous, with a venom that is neurotoxic and cardiotoxic. All of the 4 species have caused fatalities. The Black Mamba is one of the most dangerous snakes in the world.
