Eggs are laid on the host plant singly. There are multiple flights each year with the approximate flight time SEP1-OCT31 in the northern part of the range and year-round in the southern part of their range (Scott 1986). Some sources treat this species as synonymous with Phoebis statira (Scott 1986).
