Phyciodes frisia is resident to southern Florida and southern Texas and ranges south to Argentina, the Bahamas, and the Greater Antilles. It is migratory northward into central North America (Scott 1986). Habitats are tropical, usually open areas. Host plants are herbaceous, restricted to a few genera in families Acanthaceae and Euphorbiaceae. Eggs are laid on the host plant in clusters. There are multiple flights all year (Scott 1986).Trusted
