Range Description

This species (as currently understood – see taxonomic notes) is widely distributed in South East Asia, from India, Sri Lanka and China through the Malay Peninsula to Sumatra, Java and the Lesser Sunda Islands. It is known from the Sulawesi region (Salyer, KalaoIslands) but otherwise does not occur on Sulawesi or on Borneo. Nonetheless this species has a very large extent of occurrence and area of occupancy.
