The flower in this image is correctly identified as Fritillaria messanensis. However, it shows up on the wrong EOL page due to homonymy between Fritillaria messanensis Raf. (Liliaceae) and Fritillaria messanensis Lohmann in Bückmann, 1924 (Fritillariidae). The image data are correct and the image should therefore not be untrusted. The problem lies in the EOL names infrastructure and the best thing to do is to add these species to our list of homonym problems to fix.
