Brief Summary

Le Moiré Franconien et les autres Moirés sont des papillons sombres difficiles à différencier les uns des autres. De nombreuses espèces sont présentes dans les zones de colline ou de montagne. Le Moiré Franconien est présent uniquement dans le quart Nord Est de la France.  Observation en vol : Mai à mi-juillet.  Nombre de générations par an : 1.  Milieux de vie : Clairières, landes, lisières de bois et de forêts, prairies humides.  Apparence  Envergure : 32-40 mm.  Le dessus et le dessous des ailes est brun noirâtre, et chaque aile est ornée de 3 à 5 ocelles noirs, pupillés de blanc, entourés d'un halo fauve orangée.
