Range Description

Aeshna affinis is found around the Mediterranean, east to Mongolia, north to The Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Belarus and Lithuania; it is scarce in much of Iberia and north Africa. Hot summers can lead to influxes further north; at time of assessment this species had increased its range northwards in the northern most countries.
