Caecilita iwokramae (Gymnophiona: Caeciliidae) is the second lungless caecilian yet described. Caecilians are limbless amphibians that superficially resemble worms. The species is known only by a single specimen discovered in Guyana. Though it shows typical skull morphology for the family Caeciliidae, C. iwokramae displays several distinctive soft tissue features including internal and external nares covered with skin.
