Range Description

Magnolia wilsonii is endemic to China. There are scattered subpopulations within the range of western Sichuan, northern Yunnan and western Guizhou in montane forest and thicket between 1,900 and 3,300 m asl. The potential forest remaining for this species, based on remote sensing imagery and species distribution data, is 49,618 km2.
