Global Range: (1000-5000 square km (about 400-2000 square miles)) The range is very linear along the west coast and panhandle to extreme western Florida, with intergrades slightly farther west into Louisiana. The range is less than a kilometer wide and encompasses only the immediate shoreline. The may be a large gap between panhandle and west coast populations now.
