Differs from other subspecies in mean values for various external and cranial characters; smaller than other subspecies in length of tail (137.7, 137.4, 148.8, in mm, respectively, for NITRATOIDES, Exilis and BREVINASUS), length of hind foot (34.0, 33.4, 36.0), width of bulla (21.6, 21.7, 22.6), and condylobasal length (29.9, 29.7, 31.4); NITRATOIDES has the least amount of red pigment, BREVINASUS the most (see Best 1991).
