Jeff Dreier commented on "Callobius pictus (Simon, 1884)":
In a terrestrial riparian arthropod study conducted in North Cascades National Park (Glesne 1998), Callobius pictus was the most common of the three Callobius species. It was associated with either Douglas-fir or cedar-hemlock forests, alder swamp, and maple thicket habitat types. The species prefers woody debris and logs. Within its range Callobius pictis can also be found in more developed areas containing wood and debris piles, and inside older structures (J. Dreier, pers. obs.).
