Range Description

This species is endemic to Romania, where it is present in at least 8 sites in the Danube Basin. It has been collected from the Retezat Mountains in the Bile Herculane area, where it is found in numerous populations within cold mountain streams and springs, and also from the Semenic Mountains (Olivia Cioboiu pers. comm. 2009).
