John Dobyns commented on "Theridion ellicottense Dobyns & Bond, 1996":
This small Theridion was collected exclusively from a Southern Appalachian cove hardwood forest---described by the US Forest service as a white oak/northern red oak/hickory stand originating in 1858. The species description appears in The Journal of Arachnology (1996) 24:89-92.
