Chilobrachys hardwicki is endemic to eastern India, this species is found in Shahjahanpur in the north and Bilaspur in the south at an altitude of less than 500 m. The extent of occurrence encompassing known and inferred distribution is around 125,000 km², while the area of occupancy is more than 20,000 km². In Bihar: Dharhara in Monghyr, Sahibgunge, Chakardharpur in Singbhum in Chota Nagpur, Gmatia in Birbhum (Gravely 1915); Chattisgarh: Bilaspur (Pocock 1900); Jharkhand: Hazaribagh (Gravely 1935); Uttar Pradesh: Shahjahanpur in Burdwan (Pocock 1900); West Bengal: Murshidabad (Gravely 1915)
