Range Description

The species is known only from twelve specimens (M. Gómez-Laverde pers. comm.). This species occurs in middle to high elevations, about 2,200 to 3,500 m, Cordillera Occidental (Cauca, Valle and Antioquia Departments) and the junction of the Central and Eastern Cordilleras (Huila Department), Colombia (Musser and Carleton, 2005). There is continuing uncertainty about its range and the extension in the Cordillera Central.
