Range Description

This species is found throughout the lowlands of much of Sulawesi, from sea level to 1,200 m (Musser and Carleton 2005). Subfossil specimens are known from the south western peninsula, suggesting that it occurs throughout Sulawesi in forest habitat. Recent surveys suggest its continued presence at very low elevations, and in higher elevation portions of the range (L. Ruedas pers. comm.).
