Range Description

This is a widespread species occurring in China (Yunnan, Sichuan, and Guangdong), and extending west through northern Myanmar, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, north to Tajikistan, eastern Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, south-eastern Kazakhstan, northern and eastern Afghanistan, and east-central Iran (Musser and Carleton 2005) and Bangladesh (Sarker et al. 2005). It occurs at elevations ranging from 1,200-4,250 m asl (Corbet and Hill 1992).
