Range Description

This species is endemic to the island of New Guinea (Indonesia and Papua New Guinea). It is widespread from the Vogelkop Peninsula (Papua Province, Indonesia) in the west, along the Central Cordillera and outlying ranges, to south-eastern Papua New Guinea in the east (Flannery 1995). It has been recorded from 500 to 2,200 m asl (may occur at lower altitudes according to unconfirmed records).
