This species is endemic to Australia, where it ranges throughout the wheat belt and semiarid mallee/eucalypt areas of South Australia, Western Australia, and Victoria (Breed et al. 2008). The distribution is currently fragmented, restricted to remaining habitat within agricultural areas.
