Range Description

This species is endemic to the island of New Guinea (Indonesia and Papua New Guinea), where it has been recorded from the Arfak Mountains in the west, and on the Central Cordillera from the Weyland range in the west to the Mount Hagen region in the east (Flannery 1995). It is possible that the species may occur further north in suitable habitat than is currently known. Animals have been recorded between 1,400 and 2,800 m asl.
