Range Description

Zosterops mysorensis is endemic to the twin islands of Biak-Supiori off Papua (formerly Irian Jaya), Indonesia (Beehler et al. 1986), where it has been described as "abundant in small flocks" of 3-12 birds (Bishop 1982). However, more recent visits have recorded it in small numbers (N. Bostock in litt. 1993, Eastwood 1996a, B. Beehler and S. van Balen in litt. 2000, K. D. Bishop in litt. 2000) or failed to find this species (Gibbs 1993, M. van Beirs in litt. 2000).
