Range Description

This species occurs throughout much of peninsular Florida northward to the Okefenokee Swamp area of southeastern Georgia and (one record) the Altamaha River drainage of east-central Georgia; also in the Suwannee River drainage, with the few available records either being from the upper (i.e., northern) part of the drainage (peripheral to Okefenokee Swamp) or from the upper Santa Fe River system, above the Santa Fe Sink; occurs disjunctly in the Fenholloway drainage (Gilbert et al. 1992, Page and Burr 2011).
