General Description

Common Name: Bush, Cartilage, and Strap Lichens
 Family: Ramalinaceae


Shrubby or beard-like lichens, typically growing on trees in humid or foggy regions (e.g. near ponds where mist rises early every morning), generally with flattened, stiff, grayish branches.
