"Red List Category & Criteria: Least Concern ver 3.1 Year Assessed: 2011 Assessor/s: Sadasivaiah, B. & Rao, M.L.V. Reviewer/s: Bhat, G.K., Dahanukar, N., Karuppasamy, S. & Molur, S. Contributors: Molur, S. Justification: Burmannia disticha is only occasionally found but is widespread species with no known major threats. Hence it is assessed as Least Concern. Nevertheless, in Andhra Pradesh the species has not been recorded since Gamble (1928) and the habitat of the species is threatened because of tourism and mining (bauxite). Studies on the exact distribution, population status, ecology and threats to the species are essential. Conservation Actions: No conservation action in place."
