Range Description

Carex norvegica is a widely distributed amphi-atlantic circum boreal species, occurring throughout Canada, Alaska, Greenland, western and northern continental US and also Eurasia (Siberia and Russian far east). It has also been reported to occur outside the main boreal zone in Afghanistan, Mongolia and the Himalayas.
