Range Description

C. pseudocyperus has a sub-cosmopolitan distribution, occurring from North Africa (Algeria) and Europe east through Siberia, the Caucasus and the Middle East to China and Japan. It also occurs in Papua New Guinea, Australia and New Zealand, eastern North America and southern South America. It is widespread in Europe from Scandinavia, the Baltic States and central Europe to the Mediterranean.
