Range Description

Cypripedium reginae is widespread and abundant throughout much of eastern North America with an extensive range. The species' range extends from Newfoundland and Quebec to North Dakota in the north, south through New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri to the Appalachian Mountains as far south as North Carolina and Georgia. The extent of occurrence (EOO) is estimated at 2,685,380 km² and the area of occupancy (AOO) is estimated at 1,285 km². The species can be found up to 500 m altitude.
